Jessica Curry seems like a really talented composer, and did a really good job in making music suitable for the mood of Dear Esther.
But personally, I didn't really fancy the music in DE, seemed a bit bland. (Might be partially because that's the feeling I got of the "game" overall aswell. It was a beautiful experience, but didn't really strike me personally.)
To my mind I'd like to keep Mikko as a composer, because of his more interesting choices in composing. F.e. Main theme of penumbra (I think it's named like that on the OST of Overture) is a really interesting/cool sounding song imo, and what I mean by "interesting choices in composing" is that I can see by looking at the song from a more music theory kind of perspective, and the chord choices/ how the melody is built are awesome.
For a while now Frictional Games has been hinting towards the development of their next game, and they recently revealed Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. But is this what they've been talking about in terms of their "next game," or is it just another side project, like Justine? Because they said they wouldn't really be doing an Amnesia sequel, and I don't know if this is one but it has Amnesia in the name, so idk.
Those who survive that far, will find out.
A Machine for Pigs is being developed by thechineseroom and produced by frictional, and their 'next game' will come after it. They wanted to collaborate with TCR and also have some kind of game to come out because the wait for the new game was something like 3 years

What's this supposed to mean?

(This may be a swedish only expression. I realize that to Americans, it may sound like a bombthreat. We do things differently here in Sweden. Every year we celebrate Yuletide by building a giant straw goat, and then crashing an airplane into it. We became very confused over how upset you americans got when people just wanted to celebrate Yuletide in your county.)

hahaha I see. Trying to be mysterious
There already a massive post on the forum about this.
Hello peoples,
with the new Amnesia game coming out in autumn and with it being developed by different peoples, but published by Frictional Games, I wouldn't stop wondering "Will the new Amnesia game have the custom story option?". Do you think that we will be able to expand our passion for home made horror into Machine for Pigs? I do! Express your opinions. I think that being able to construct your own stories is a good way to get experience in the game development industry, and it's loads of fun. What do you think?
I sure as hell hope it will be compatible with modding. And it probably will be since modding is the thing that still keeps Amnesia fresh!

I certainly agree. Modding/custom stories, does keep Amnesia fresh.
