I'm definitely expecting something from Frictional this Halloween.
Considering it was the original release date, and it's Halloween, I think it's safe to say that there will be
something (be it concept art, screenshots, music, trailers or gameplay videos).
Or maybe even a pre-order button.

Those things have a nasty habit of popping up when I'm flat broke. I don't understand it.

Just incase you two hadn't seen...
[..] I don't think we should judge thechineseroom based purely upon Dear Esther and Korsakovia.
But.. nobody did that? Even though I had in mind their past experience, I was taking into consideration mostly what kind of game they are making and what we know so far about it.
Still no spoilers... I like that =]
THECHINESEROOM, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, PLEASE do not show the monster in any posts or blogs/trailers. PLEASE. That ruins every surprise. The amount shown in the recent trailer was JUST right.

Yes, that's the farthest I hope they go. Add the whole monster in the trailer and the suspense/fear is spoiled for when we go to play it. There's a difference between:
"When is something going to show up?..."
and
"When is that thing going to show up..."
I find it interesting that that article mentions both TDD's inability to fight back as well as the horror in Silent Hill 2, a game where you could fight back against monsters.
When do you think "fighting back" is appropriate in a horror game?
Honestly... I was never "scared" in Silent Hill. I just enjoyed the environment and the monster designs. I see hardly any similarity between Amnesia and Silent Hill. I don't get why people keep comparing them like they're the same =\

I often consider not looking at anything related to AAMFP online until I have actually played the game. In case of spoilers.
When I go into A Machine For Pigs, I want to know as little as possible. To have no idea what lies ahead.
If the game leaks a few days early and monster photos start popping up, I'm gonna die.
