So, when i try to use ModelView for the model i made in maya it just crashes.

I have checked the modelview.log and it only says this:

--------------------------------------------------------
Cache out of date! Reloading collada file 'D:/Steam/steamapps/common/amnesia the dark descent/static_objects/Models/Fridge_1970s.dae'
WARNING: No 'extra scene' element found!
---------------------------------------------------------

I have tried to search from these forums, but I didn't find answer to this...

PS. I started modeling yesterday so I'm not so familiar with this.
Make sure you're using the OpenCOLLADA plugin which can be found here - http://opencollada.org/
The default DAE export is known to have issues.
Do you know if the 2.6 Blender has that updated or do I need to patch it to? I've been wondering for awhile why my models lately don't want to work in the ModelView.

I have downloaded the OpenCOLLADA plugin but it may be that I accidentally exported in wrong format.
I'll check it when I get home
I used OpenCOLLADA export but it still saves it as DAE and it won't work on ModelView...
OpenCOLLADAs DAE should work just fine, if you can't get it working you should try re-installing the tools.

Also are you on a legal copy of the game? I've gotten tons of messages from people complaining that custom models don't work for them on their cracked verisions.
That might work Smile And yes, I have a legal copy.

Nope, I re-installed the tools but it still does not work.

Traggey, you wouldn't mind taking a look of my model? If it's not too much trouble? Smile Because I am fairly new to modeling and I'm not sure how to fix the problem if it's on the model itself.
Hmm.. Are you using Maya? If you are:
- Have you loaded OpenCollada?
- Maya has a native collada plugin, in some cases it might be easier to deactivate that and then export using OpenCollada.
- Triangulated mesh?
- Made the model yourself (or an import from something else)?

Yes I use Maya
- I have OpenCOLLADA plugin
- Triangulated mesh
- Made the model completely myself

I'm not really sure how to deactivate the native collada plugin...
