The mental hospital is a fairly short part, I don't think it's worth playing CoF if you're looking for a horror game set in a hospital or featuring a hospital level. It just ain't enough hospitalish.

Its an awesome modern-themed horror game by FG. There is no hospital, but there are several doctor/medical offices (if that counts

OP should play it regardless, it is much scarier than White Night, and more professionally made (no offense to Tanshaydar). The voice acting is amazing for each character, good, solid storyline, and honestly some events gave me quite a feel.

I'd say the hospital level can be long, but in whole, it's short compared to the lenght of the mod itself. It's got a city full of creepy monsters, houses next to a lake, a mansion..
There are plenty of good Half-Life mods available.
Hospitals sounds like a big prior to you. What makes you so fascinated about them?
Reading some posts here and I could even experience to be at an asylum myself in real life.
