This is probably a weird question, but while im waiting on an answer to some other technical issues I have been having I have decided to make more of my level. The problem Im having is I want to make a stairway coming up from a basement door, kinda like this:
(& = wall % = stair going up # = basement door)
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
# %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
# %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
# %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
I thought this would be simple enough, but I cant figure out how to fit the walls and ceiling around the stairs so that it works and looks good. Anyone know of any tutorials or objects that could help?
How about scaling the stairs? Works for me. Make the space between the two walls, one wall wide. i guess that is 4. Then it should be no problem

Just look at how FrictionalGames did it for their maps.

Thanks!
Did this thread just happen? Or am I imagining this?...
You mean that he didn't think of it himself? It happens you know Wink
Sorry haha, As I said it was a weird question, but sometimes I tend to look at things in a more complicated way than necessary which can cause me confusion.
You just have to get used to Hpl Wink Then you'll see the possibilities
