Hello again mates, my question is this: Can i add NPC's? im thinking about making flashbacks where i run an in-game-video with conversations betwen 2 characters, can i do that?
you can add new entitys to amnesia, but when its about people its not as simple. they need to have special functions for movement and stuff
You'll need advanced AI for that. I think.

Animations and all that.... That's going to take quite a while, but it is possible.

Short answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Entirely possible, but it's not going to be easy.
You'll need to do animations. And HPL is not kind when it comes to animations.
The process will involve creating a model, rigging it with a skeleton, and then animating and importing into HPL. A long process, but if you can pull it off, go for it.
You could make an invisible NPC! As if he is behind something that you can't open, like a locked door. So he speaks through the door.

That in modern games = big pile of shit.

Well, why make an invisible NPC if you won't even get to see the NPC? Just add a shadow, and you're good to go with that. No need to do extra workload.

Good thing this is a mod then, hmm?
It all comes down to what you pretend to achieve.

And of course that no NPCs at all isn't any better.
