Unwrapping models a lot of times still doesn't make much sense to me, even if your suppose to unwrap like it like an animal skin or clothing materials.
I can't find much tutorials on this type of model I'm doing, everything seems to be mostly of characters with a few oddballs like this.
(1) Top view, the UV's are ok.

(5) So any tips on how to actually unwrap the darn model?
(6) And if this was the best that you could possibly do, how would I go around texturing say a line of bricks around where it curves (Top side) properly?
If I was just to take a seamless repeating brick texture and apply it, it would warp really funky around it atm.
