just got a steam key, does this mean i need to buy it? i thought i got a free copy. i don't understand.

1. Open steam
2. At the top of the screen click on "games"
3. Then click on "Activate a product on steam"
4. Enter code
That should do it

It means that you can activate your key in Steam and even pre-load it if you wish.

Steam updated there release time for amnesia for America for 3 AM PST, is that true or is it not. Im hoping it is but i want a more official answer.

Yes i read that but, there have been times where steam was about 6 hours off.

Well my steam has never been off date, so I guess this IS the official release time, plus we both have the timer set on the same time (13 hours untill release)
