Why does it matter? Does your opinion on a game you haven't played yet change if reviews are good/bad?

No I'm just wondering why it is so low compared to TDD or other indie games especially when frictional say it gets good reviews

Because the mean average between 10/10 and 0/10 reviews is somewhere in the middle.

Metacritic is a broken system, and has been for god knows. How the hell can a complex opinion have the quality summarised by numbers?

All reviews haven't been added and it won't be until a week after release when the meta is correct. Plenty enough time for you to make your own mind up :-)

How is 74 a low score?

The thing I personally find interesting is how polarising the reviews are, it shows how you should not base any decision on one.

I find it funny that some people base their purchase on reviews. It's like when I get a friend to tell me he won't be seeing a movie because some random magazine gave the movie a 1/5.
