the only thing i dont like cry is the games where he decides to voice the games in his "narrative" speaking, as immersive as it may be, I cant help but feel how he exaggarates with his voice

I like markiplier and I think his videos are quite entertaining but I mainly watch HarshlyCritical, big custom story player and is quite funny.
I need a both option too.
I have no problem with any of them. Though my favourite might be Cryaotic
I don't really like either of them. If I had to choose though, I'd say Markiplier. I've only watched a few of his videos and he's much less annoying than Pewdiepie.
I would have said Markiplier but he's long gone to the same boat as PewDiePie.

I've watched plenty of both, and I chose Pewdiepie because his old stuff seemed honest and it was funny. His original amnesia/penumbra playthroughs especially, I prefer these to Markiplier. Markiplier is trying way too hard to be like pewdiepie now and just seems like a sellout.
Old pewdiepie is better than old markiplier, but modern pewdiepie is worse than modern markiplier.
Old pdp played a lot of excellent games that he doesn't seem interested in anymore, particularly RPG Maker horrors and Silent Hill.
Markiplier right now still plays a lot of indie horrors, even (good) Amnesia custom stories, and at least reads every note he comes across.
