Hi, I made it through the first water section and through the gate but cannot move from that spot. Is that a bug or intended? If I'm truly stuck is my only recourse to reply from the start?
this is on an iMac OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)

You could always just load an autosave from the "Load game" menu. Just look at the time stamp, and find the second most recent, which is probably when you entered the room you got stuck in.
