I would love an Amnesia sequel which doesn't take on the story, but builds on top of the gameplay elements.
A bit like how I consider Amnesia to be Penumbra's successor.
My heart is beating so fast, I just heard about this game a couple of seconds ago, is this supposed to be the super secret project?

It
was the super secret project.

You got AMFP which is also the
LAST instalment.

By that logic, soma is Amnesia's successor

On topic...
Anyone else think Mikko Tarmia's music has improved from penumbra to amnesia? Hopefully he can go even farther this time and create a soundtrack that will blow us away more than ever before!
Absolutely. I'm super excited to see what he comes up with.

(don't forget the bassoon, Mikko!)
I like how Frictional has now created a trilogy of first-person horror titles, separated by their point in time.
Amnesia - Historical Horror
Penumbra - Modern Horror
Soma - Futuristic Horror
As the previous two series have ended as trilogies, I wonder if this means Soma will have any more follow-ups...

I've thought about that possibility too.
However, I personally consider Penumbra and Amnesia "dilogies", because Requiem was just an expansion pack for Black Plague and Justine a DLC for The Dark Descent.

Actual Penumbra had only two episodes, Requiem was barely related in the context of actual story.
In case with Amnesia, Justine was relatively short DLC and AMFP is a separate game in the same universe. Not a follow-up.
But.
It was mentioned on the blog that SOMA is supposed to be "a proper game" rather than "rushed" Amnesia, so I assume there could be DLCs/Addons/etc.
But besides that - imagine TONS of custom stories around the "SCP-concept", similar to which was used in the teasers. The possibilities even bigger than with Amnesia.
I think you're confusing Requiem with Black Plague. Requiem was an expansion for Black Plague.
