Frictional Games Forum (read-only)

Hey guys,

I am working on small horror game in my spare time as a hobby. And it seems like a lot of people on this forum have a deep understanding/fascination with horror games I thougth it might be helpful to ask you guys for your opinion.

The game is actually inspired by frictionalgames, I try to use a lot of tips about horror game design from their blog. There is also the use of creepypasta's to set the atmosphere.

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it since I worked pretty hard on it . And the pushing instead of grabbing is pretty annoying I guess but that will be fixed in the next demo.

The Whispering - New Graphics Test Demo

Here is a link to the test demo for the future graphics of the game. It contains a new level, short story, a small puzzle and most importantly the future graphics of the game. It has a more Amnesia/Penumbra feel to it now. Download

Its actually pretty decent, I like the riddle part, guessed in my first attempt. Altho was too short for a demo in my taste, would love to know what will happen next.Not so bad to be your first horror game, if it is?

I have a feeling it's not being worked on anymore. The guy's last visit was last year.

Hey guys, I indeed stopped working on it for a pretty long time, there were some annoying bugs I couldn't get fixed in the new version and I there was some other stuff that came in between which basically killed my motivation.

I recently continued to project a little and just today I created a gameplay video of the new version. This is what the game looks like until now please tell me what you think about it. There will be another brand new gameplay demo released these comming months . Enjoy!
