ModLauncher.app doesn't work on the current Steam version. It crashes on start saying

Code:
dyld: Library not loaded: @rpath/libIL.1.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/xxxx/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/SOMA/ModLauncher.app/Contents/MacOS/./ModLauncher
  Reason: image not found
Abort trap: 6

I tried to copy all libraries from Soma.app/Content/Frameworks to ModLauncher.app/Content/Frameworks but lo luck anyway - it crashes instantly after start.

MBP late 2015 (i7 2.6Ghz / 16GB RAM), macOS 10.12.6 (16G29)
Confirmed. I've had to update my SOMA on Mac, and not only is the ModLauncher failing, but I've lost access to my saves from the previous version. Sad
I'm also having trouble with the ModLauncher; in fact I've just registered for these forums for this very reason, so I'm glad it's not just me having trouble.

Any news or fixes would be greatly appreciated... I can't take the terror without Wuss mode on!
Hi guys,

Just to let you know - we are aware of this. In fact we spotted this being reported recently on steam forums. We'll let you know a resolution or workaround as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience!

Not to necro, but its been over 7 months. Any updates on when this resolution or workaround will be available?
According to our porting partner the issue should have been resolved! But we are seeing if we can still test this somehow.

Uh, no. Still doesn't work.
That is very strange, our partner has delivered the patch and we have uploaded it on Steam.

We'll get one person from the team who has a Mac to test it after they come back from their holiday.

SUCCESS!!!! ModLauncher now back and working after latest Steam Update! Thank you for your hard work.
Awesome, thank you for testing it out! The guys fixed this a couple of days ago and I was waiting for confirmation that it was functional - and now I have it. Enjoy!
