o.o I thought it was all the same monster........ they look the same...

The lines for each encounter are specific to that encounter. For example, listen to the things you hear spoken the first time, second time, third time...
if you go poking around in the voice files too, you will see them labeled as Alois, Basille, Malo.

Alois appeared to be obsessed with Justine no matter what, Basille seems very angry and wanting to get revenge, Malo...I just don't know I was kind of racing through that part without looking back. lol

I heard it was also a reference to Penumbra, when you're in a similar area with spiders chasing you.

Spoiler below!

Except in Penumbra there actually are spiders there and they will kill you. Wink

When will the Justine DLC be released for the no steam version of Amnesia?
Never mind!

I found the answer

If you bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent on Steam:

A patch came out recently. Update your game, then start it up like you would before. On the launcher, there is a new button called "Justine". Press this button to play the expansion.

If you bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent at retail:

The Justine story is not yet available for users who bought Amnesia at retail. It will be available very soon, however. For the curious, the expansion will be available soon after Portal 2 is released. (currently April 19th for NA)
It'll come next week.
Just finished it.

Has anyone else noticed the marquis de Sade references? Justine and Florbelle are names of characters from his novels. Of course, his Justine is different than the one from Amnesia, but the idea of this dungeon of cruel games seems also to be inspired by his writings.
So there's no way to activiate Amnesia in Steam if I, say, downloaded it from GameStop's website? I tried looking for the Activation Key or whatever it's called in Amnesia's folders but I can't find a product code to enter in Steam.
Only pre-orders from Frictional Store gives the Steam activation keys. Only other option is to buy it from Steam.

But content will be released to retail versions of the game, any day now.
Can't wait. Have you played any exceptional custom stories that you think will hold me over until it's out?
Well, there are plenty of full releases. They will keep you busy until Justine comes out. Making one will keep you busy for the rest of the year Tongue
