This expansion seems to me to be Portal in the style of Amnesia the Dark Descent. Its similar in playlength, flavour and awesomeness.

It sounded as if the Windows version is good to go already. Since releasing a Steam-only version has already caused some "inequity" I'd say let the Mac/Linux guys wait alone now and feed the Windows guys already.
