I loved the actual game, but is the expansion worth playing? I'm just curious to how long the expansion plays out, and if it too is scary.

Well, you can never know without trying? Why not give it a shot?

It's amazing. The length depends on how often you die, but you can easily get one hour of gameplay if it's your first run. Because of its length, it's often scary and they come quite often throughout the expansion. Since it's also free, I can't see any reason not to play it.
