RE: Your plans when the Level Editor is released - Sverd - 09-14-2010 I'll start by experimenting a simple concept, escape the room or something like that. No monsters, only puzzles. And then maybe after I'll do a real campaign set in pretty much the same settings as Amnesia, 19th century, mysterious castle but I'll stay away from horror and focus for a storyline in the veins of Bioshock. I love the 19th century and I know - I just don't know how - my storyline will talk about/refer to Napoleon, the Romantic period, artists like Beethoven, Delacroix, etc. But I know I'm doing it wrong, I wanna include so much stuff but I still have nothing to say. Just gotta work on a solid storyline. RE: Your plans when the Level Editor is released - iTIMMEH - 09-15-2010 I'm going to make a rubbish box room. I've already got what I feel is an interesting concept put together, and a lot of plot/character elements fleshed out. Looking for creative, dedicated people with skills in modeling, texturing, programming, and/or level design. Maybe even another writer with whom I can bounce ideas around. It could work, but in 90% of the time said project will never get started or die. Its just not smart to start so advanced, its better to start making something, then its easier to get people to join up. when you have a base, so to speak. Ive seen hundres, if not more, cool awesome maps / mods you name it die, because they wanted to start to advanced instead of building something, with the skills you got, and improving from their. Even more so when its random people, when its people who know each other close other the internet for years of in real life, well then its ofcourse another matter the K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid hehe |
