RE: Screenshot criticism thread - No Author - 07-19-2013 @sonataarctica I like how the computer is placed and the lights is perfect to me. Not to dark and not to bright. And I like the rain outside the window (that's what I think it is). Keep up the good work! and add more basketballs. Lol RE: Screenshot criticism thread - No Author - 07-19-2013 Spoiler below!
RE: Screenshot criticism thread - OriginalUsername - 07-19-2013 I really like the first screenshot. Even though the corner in the back is really dark.. The light rays through the wooden planks on the second one looks a bit odd. Still pretty good RE: Screenshot criticism thread - No Author - 07-20-2013 Thanks for the feedback Been a while since I use the level editor. And yeah I know about the billboards, pretty hard trying to get the perfect angle for the window. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Alex Ros - 07-20-2013 @ No Author Could, you, please waste a bit of time and make screens of the whole room? I really like it what I see. But at the same time I might critisize some elements, but I can't be sure until I'll see whole room. Just 4 screens from every corner to understand what stands where. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Artyom - 07-21-2013 Zdravstvujtye! Here's a little preview of my WIP, just thought I'd put it up here to see if people like the concept. Anyways the map is like half finished so no details have really been added yet. (sorry no 1080p today) Also if it's to dark, try opening it with the url. Spoiler below!
RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Streetboat - 07-21-2013 I see absolutely nothing in that. Not even enough to be able to tell what concept you're going for, unless it's blindness. I would recommend adding a TON of ambient light- big pointlights with very low (0.1) light levels. I know people often say to use boxlights, but I think they look unnatural- they light everything uniformly, and they leave unsightly lines of light change between rooms where they end. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - No Author - 07-21-2013 (07-20-2013, 01:57 PM)Alex Ros Wrote: @ No Author The thing is I'm not done with the room. That's only half of it. I'll finish it if I have more time. @Zandrojakov I agree with Streetboat. I see nothing in the screenshot except the lamps and the door. Adding point lights would be better. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Artyom - 07-21-2013 Really? Is it that dark? Hm... well I'll follow your advice, thanks. Oh and also, It's a tunnel so I can't really take a picture in every corner, but I can try to show more. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Streetboat - 07-21-2013 I got that it was a tunnel, my problem wasn't with your angle, it was with the lighting. If you can't see anything between the beginning and the end point of a tunnel, then what's the point of making it a tunnel at all? |
