Let's just say the universe is expanding and isn't infinite. But yeah, if something infinite expands, it will expand from infinity to double-infinity (yeah, no sense at all). I understand a little now. (09-28-2012, 07:55 PM)Scraper Wrote: BAndrew,Here I go again. Confusion at its best. You confused the surface of the sphere (Earth - like thing) with the sphere. Of course there are other dimensions which force you to do a circle. Remember that you CAN'T GO in a STRAIGHT LINE in the universe. RE: Time? - Robby - 09-28-2012 Now I have completely no idea what to go for. I do understand and all that, but the confusion (like in post #143) is killing me. Don't think it as a normal sphere because in that case you can't make circles in an infinite surface.(09-28-2012, 07:51 PM)BAndrew Wrote: Suppose that the universe is infinite. That's where the confusion starts for me. And I honestly don't exactly know. RE: Time? - Robby - 09-28-2012 (09-28-2012, 08:08 PM)BAndrew Wrote:Dang it. RE: Time? - BAndrew - 09-28-2012 The word "sphere" was used in order to explain how an open or closed universe might look like (you make circles in any case) please don't confuse it and try to imagine universe as a sphere. It clearly doesn't make sense that way. RE: Time? - Robby - 09-28-2012 All of this is a mystery if you ask me. The universe has at least 10 dimensions and you can only sense the 4 of them and you don't understand any of them. |
