You never get shortcuts for steam. You run them from the library.

Not really, I see on my desktop a bunch of steam shortcuts, I really can't think of any steam game I play that doen't have a shortcut. (Thank you for reminding me of the word shortcut lol)

Odd, when I install all my games I just launch them from the app.

Don't need shortcuts on my screen.

@Derxor: You can however already right-click on the game in the library and select "Create Desktop Shortcut".

@Derxor: The shortcut for games on steam are optional, and you can choose to let steam put out one for you if you want to. You choose this during the installation process.

I don't know if preloading allows you to choose if you want a shortcut or not. I don't really use them but I don't remember seeing an option for a shortcut in the preload dialogue. If it doesn't let you choose one when it's unpacking everything on release day just right click and choose the desktop shortcut option.

Wow, that was a long break from this forum, but anyway 2 MORE DAYS!!!

The spoiler risk with the review tester videos was too threatening for me to enjoy the forum, but now that everything's organized, I can bask in the excitement of imminent release! that spoiler thread is highly tempting, but I'm doing my best to try and avoiding opening it until I finish the game.

I'm pre-loaded on Steam and ready to go, and I got extra pants and eyebleach set aside worst-case-scenario.
