was just for killing off Wilhelm and his men. You even see their entrails on the floor. I always figured the creation of monsters was something like whatever Dr. Frankenstein did.

combine doing away with some of his men with a bit of 'science'. At the least, he'd probably use one of more interesting brews to poison them than a simple boring poison. In my opinion.
