Same. For some reason, being in the deepest depths under water feels like a more oppressive atmosphere than outer space to me.
I wonder if we're going to see any more Lovecraftian mythos like the 'Deep Ones'?

I am curious how they connect the "alien-technology"-theme with the underwater setting. For now I can only think of the movie "the abyss" from james cameron when I see the trailer.

I see hammerhead sharks - possibly something you'll need to avoid? I imagine you'll be able to walk/swim underwater in a diver's suit ala Bioshock 2.

Here's a pretty good article about soma. They say it's not like bioshock at all. It's more focused on horror and puzzles. It's a good read, give it a try.

So the main character is someone named Simon? And you go around underwater in "a breathing apparatus"? Interesting ..

I'm not sure if the whole game will be like that.
And I'd argue that the first Bioshock was, in a way, a horror game in terms of atmosphere. Gameplay-wise, of course, the tone was undermined by all the obligatory gunfights and magical violence you were allowed to do.
