I never said that Penumbra only let you play one way, I said that there is only one intended playstyle for the game otherwise it doesn't play out as intended (amnesia removed this choice of playstyle altogether, which made it feel extremely restricted), maybe you need to read my post again?
Amnesia lets you only play one way, Penumbra not. Penumbra is more varied and involves the player more intensive therefore.
