Yes, I did. The problem with menu freeze was fixed, but new graphics artifacts appeared. I want you to check it out. May be it's only my problem.

I just realised something that might be the cause of all this. It is a rather big change so I need to some reasearch on it. I will report back when I figure out more.

I have a 2900XT and have the same problem. Hopefully ATi will get on this; Penumbra has had great reviews and is the film equivalent of an oscar-winning indie movie now
It's in ATi's interests to fix it since the 2900xt is their flagship card and Penumbra has an engine that would show it off nicely.
I've made a thread on the Rage3D forums (where the ATi Catalyst team post) and they've said they'd get their driver team working on it:

sireric is ati employer and he forwarded the problem to the QE..Thomas you should send a PM to sireric and you guys discuss possible solutions
