this is annoying, i don't have a redist file or a custom stories file, i have it on steam if that helps....

Steam versions do not use the "redist" folder. It simply looks like this:

However it should include the "custom_stories" folder by default. If it isn't there, you can probably just create the folder yourself. Make sure the name matches exactly.
