But when I play the game now, with my saved game, the screen is full of white letters and when I point an object, a white net appears over it and a white text appears on screen showing sort of technical information.

The solution was to create a new profile.

It's one thing to get a game for free, it's a bit shitty to play it for so long (as you apperantly enjoy it), it's completely shite that you expect support as well.
