Anyone who thinks that parameter variable names require to be exactly the same as they are shown in the wiki article needs to learn more about programming. RE: expected ")" or "," help please - JenniferOrange - 04-16-2012 [rage] I know how to script. Why else do I help people all the time? No, I'm no professional like Your Computer but I've always followed the Engine Scripts page ever since I started. Even people who know how to script learn new things every day, guys. I'll be sure to keep it in mind though, and say no more. :] [/rage] RE: expected ")" or "," help please - JetlinerX - 04-16-2012 Dick moves you two, real dick moves. There is such a thing called learning, we all do it. No need to bash eachother for needing a refresher course... Tisk tisk. I thought they would all be like YourComputer, and that I would be outclassed. I'm now beginning to realize that the few months of C programming I have, makes me pretty experienced around here. RE: expected ")" or "," help please - JetlinerX - 04-17-2012 Or, instead of piling on the insults, you can apologize. Just a suggestion, I will leave before I start a flame war. RE: expected ")" or "," help please - DRedshot - 04-17-2012 Remember, the majority of us just enjoyed Amnesia and wanted to make something cool for the community in return, nothing more. (that was the case with me anyways) There are a lot of guys on here who do know a fair bit about programming (YourComputer and Apjjm are just 2 examples of many) RE: expected ")" or "," help please - Stepper321 - 04-17-2012 I'm also a pretty advanced scripter. Maybe not like Jeniffer. But everytime i want to help, i get ninja'd. Well, much. I also find everything at the Engine Scripts page and do not need tutorials for it . Parameters marks the line between just copying and pasting from other's works, and acually understanding what those lines mean. It's the line between quoting Spanish, and understanding Spanish. I'm sure that she's a pearl when it comes to helping out, but for her own sake, she needs to learn what those lines mean if she will ever be able to build upon what others write. RE: expected ")" or "," help please - flamez3 - 04-17-2012 How about we stop fighting over scripting?
