Have you checked for programs that might interfere like antivirus etc... and the ones mentioned at the troubleshooting guide?

Also, try tinkering with your mouse settings. I remember that I had this exact same problem with Half Life 1 with my old mouse.

a very small number of your has had this problem, new mouses do not seem to help. Well, most probably a operating system configuration issue. It's definitely not the game. Maybe a program interferes...

we have found some programs mentioned at the troubleshooting guide but I suggest you disable/exit everything running on the background or at the tray including anvtiviruses/firewalls etc...

Hey, try running the game, unplugging the mouse, and plugging it again.
