Wow, loved your samples. I'm working on a custom story at the moment and as we reach closer to the end of it's development, we will be looking for a voice actor to polish it up.
I'm definitely writing your name down! If you'll be interested later down the line, I'd love to send your some lines and if not, good luck anyway! =D

I'm always tweaking things to make my voice sound as unprocessed as possible. The introduction of my reel video is my natural voice, but I agree it sounds a little saturated. Tweaking the settings I used for that will not change the sound of my voice, however. That's what I sound like. The effects are only added to enhance the volume of my voice without amplifying harsh frequencies. In any finished work, I will never be recording my voice without any dynamic effects. It would only end up sounding unprofessional, as all professional voice overs have dynamic effects added.
Mostly, the only other effects I ever add are reverbs to simulate rooms. Or in the case of my soundcloud example of the safety video, I threw all kinds of stuff on there to try to make it sound like an old VHS.
