attach hpl.log file found under Documents\Penumbra or similar (depending on the game that you are trying to play, there are 3)

some files are corrupt, reinstall the game and do a file integrity check. Also delete all.cfg files from Documents\Penumbra or similar (where the hpl.log file is and nearby)

By file integrity check did you mean on steam?
