Their is a "Export Selection" and "Import Selection". Basically you select the objects you want, and do "Export" (They can't be in a compound object; Ctrl +B).
Go to your other map and do "Import" (Note: It will place it in the location relative where you imported it from map you copied it from, so don't panic if you can't see it at first.)
