RE: Computer Specs - TheBlastPassage - 01-15-2013

I'm getting a new computer soon. Here's the specs:

AMD Athlon II X3 450 Tri-Core 3.2 GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

RE: Computer Specs - RawkBandMan - 01-15-2013

Desktop:

AMD Athlon II X3 450 Tri-Core 3.2GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6670
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Laptop:
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.0GHz (Dunno the exact one)
Windows Vista 32-Bit
3GB RAM

So my laptop is crappier than yours, so hah. Looks like I'm winning so far in the worst computer specs at the moment...

Not sure if I should be proud or depressed.

RE: Computer Specs - NightSshadeGaming - 01-15-2013

Inter Core i5-3219M 2,5GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GT630M (2GB)
8GB DDR3 RAM
750GB HDD

I chose that one mostly because of the graphic card. The CPU is kind-of weak, but I use it mostly for gaming, so my video card had to be top-class, and also didn't have much money xD I'm wondering if I'll be able to play a machine for pigs on this computer smoothly :?

I remember hearing somewhere that if your computer could run A:TDD fine than it could run A:AMFP good too.

RE: Computer Specs - TheBlastPassage - 01-16-2013

Turns out, I'm building my own computer. Specs:

AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core 3.8GHz
1TB Hard Drive
8GB DDR3 RAM (2x 4GB)
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P Motherboard
850 Watt PSU
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB

Hey, I just want to tell you your PC sounds great, but my friends tell me the AMD FX series is not the best for gaming. Not sure if they are correct about that, but they say if you want a AMD FX make you you get something like a AMD FX-8000 or above. It's better for gaming or something.

Might as well post my specs to:
CPU: Intel core i7 quad core 3.9 ghz
Hard Drive: 2TB
RAM: 8GB DDR3
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7570 1GB GDDR5 (going to upgrade to Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 2GB)

RE: Computer Specs - TheBlastPassage - 01-16-2013

I don't think I need an 8 core CPU. Tongue

Quad-Core 3.8GHz should do fine Smile

My friend is saying that it has compatibility issues or something? He is saying that if you want an AMD CPU that is actually meant for gaming, he said to get an AMD A6, AMD A8, or AMD A10. I'm just going off of what he told me since he actually had a AMD FX before and couldn't run most games that ran off directx.

RE: Computer Specs - Yuhaney - 01-17-2013

I'd say don't get current AMD CPUs at all (I had a 4-core and will never get another AMD CPU again, since it was... just bad).
Plus, not to mention the hyper hype they spread about killing Intel i7 with their new 8-core CPU and then it turned out to be what it was... Just - no thanks.

Intel for me from now on - unless they get their stuff back together to actually release better CPUs.
If someone wants to buy an AMD's CPU, by all means do it, but I'd highly recommend on doing some serious comparison before buying either one. That's a lesson I've learned the hard way, wasting lots of cash that could have been avoided by doing comparison.

Now I'm kinda worried. Here's the AMD CPU that I was thinking of buying. Let me know what you guys think of it
