Then they should go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\<steamuser>\Amnesia\redist or something similar. They should be in the root of the Amnesia folder where the launcher and folders like the core and graphics folder are located

For steam version:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Their is no redist folder in the steam version, so just put it in your Amnesia: The Dark Descent folder.
