RE: Gamma adjustment doesn't work - Prophet5 - 06-01-2013 Quote:On a side now the Gamma IS Broke, and it's due to your window manager.. Switch to a non-compositing window manager and gamma will work fine. This is especially true of Compiz. Essentially we have to rewrite the entire gamma system to work differently to work around this annoyance. Sorry to bump... Urkle is this issue just with the Steam version? As I mentioned I don't have any issues at all with Kwin in compositing mode, but then I bought Amnesia TDD direct from Frictional Games. Bucic, do you have a version from Humble and a Steam copy, or have you added the Humble version to Steam library? It sounds like you have both. RE: Gamma adjustment doesn't work - Urkle - 06-01-2013 The steam build is the Same as the HIB build.. and it could be that Kwin does things better than compiz. It sounds like you have both.I've used the option to generate a Steam key at HIB website, got the game at Steam and installed via Steam. Steam build and HIB build are not identical apparently. One works without issues and the other does not. Let me also remind that I use neither Compiz nor Kwin. I've tested the case in GNOME's Mutter and LXDE's whatever-their-display-layer-is-called. RE: Gamma adjustment doesn't work - jens - 06-02-2013 How about it you disabled the steam overlay? Assuming you had the 'Enable Steam Community In-game' option, that is. Assuming you had the 'Enable Steam Community In-game' option, that is. What is the MD5 of the non-steam version of Amnesia that you have? As the version released with the HIB has this MD5 2e2deb3907c515382631a1cd42dca60b 2012-05-23-1.2.1-HIB/Amnesia.bin And the version up on steam has this 2e2deb3907c515382631a1cd42dca60b Amnesia.bin My only guess is that something in the steam runtime is screwing it up (not the first time). You can try starting steam with the runtime disabled by doing this STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam RE: Gamma adjustment doesn't work - Bucic - 06-04-2013 Code: ~$ STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam Code: ~$ md5sum /home/hg1/Amnesia/Amnesia.bin64 |
