I HAD two monitors, but I tried desactivating one in windows, setting "Single display performance mode" in nvidia drivers, setting 640*480 no AF/AA and and it goes at around 0.05fps, no difference. .... but I can play Crysis at high settings... so what's wrong. This is not about optimizing the gfx, trying to save a few polygons, lower the physic quality or any tweak like that, that would only add a few fps (when it's already running fast) and drop the quality of the game. Instead, just think about which new element is added in the laggy levels who were not in the previous games neither (probably that ball, but I don't know). It should have it's own classe, and somewhere in this .cpp should have a while/for loop with a badly though exit condition. Ok, you probably know your engine better than I do, but it's my simple debugger advice. RE: Very laggy problem :/ - Medyk87 - 08-30-2008 Sorry for my bad English, but I think this could help with a patch. The game worked nice. My setting was High and 800x600. Then at level 9 the game started lagging for the moment you wake up. And nothing helped, not even turning everything to very low and 640x480. Then after completing the computer quest. This one: The game stopped logging, and went tu about 15 FPS. That still is a bit slow (normally its about 40 FPS) but it helped and the game is playable now.
