Barrel works on Hard: Yes.
But do not try to fight with Pick Axe or hammer (on Hard difficulty)! Otherways you're dead meat!

AHHH, not nice! hahaha. Nah, i do fight them, the boxes are more of a last resort.
Still, the meat thing doesn't work for me that well.

I haven't tried this yet. But can you lure a dog from the place by throwing a flare to a specific place? Like when it runs away after getting hit, maybe throw a flare away to lure it there...?
