Really strange because I have a Athlon 2.0 Ghz with a 6800(agp) and I have been using a setting of 1280*1024 with 2x aa, af and everything on full (except motion blur off as default)when benchmarking and optimising the levels. I have aimed to have a minimum of 30 FPS, with dips down to 20 as acceptable. Not sure what else to suggest at the moment.

Im not saying this is the cause of all your lagging but the 6600 is extremely weak. there sure arent any other modern games you can run smoothly on that setup. before you say anything my parents have Sempron 3000, 1 gig ram and a 6600 that I gave them a couple years ago. I played the tech demo on it a while back and it was very sluggish even at just 1024x768 and not max settings.

I have 5000 X2, 2gb, and 8600gt and the game lagged when I turned the mouse starting on level 6. turning off motion blur and restarting the game stopped all of that. I finished the game without motion blur and it was perfectly fine.

I can play Bioshock, Oblivion and others, so why not Penumbra? Wink

I played Overture, Black Plague and Requiem with max settings.. Smile but a 800x600

6600 is not extremely weak.
If 100% is average, 6600 is 85%

a 6600 wont even run many new games like Crysis even on all low. a 6600 is a horrible card and is well below average. hell it was below average for gaming 4 years ago when it was released. also its the MINIMUM for Bioshock. a 6600 and a slow cpu is only playabale on low settings at 800x600 for Bioshock. you live in a fantasy land if you think that a 6600 is decent for modern games.

Are there any technical dificulties with the Linux version? Or do you just have little time to finish the work (found a new game you have to play through first, illness, ...)?
What is the timescale we can expect the release to happen? Days? Weeks? Months?
