RE: Human Form Monsters - Amnesia Gamer - 10-27-2013 I think the idea of genetically modified pig is not bad. They could make it a bit better. I think that no matter how grotesque the Man-Pigs were designed, we'd still have been let down by their appearance. Let's face it - we all knew the enemies would be humanoid pigs, rather than something more alien. Personally, I'd rather have wanted a different type of enemy progression as the story went on. AMFP starts off with the quadrupedal Wretches, then progresses to the bipedal Engineers and finally the gigantic tesla-pigs. But what if the enemies would have started off as mostly pig, but by the end become disturbingly more humanoid in appearance? I was visualizing a pig version of this. RE: Human Form Monsters - grrrz - 10-28-2013 the manpigs are supposed to be as much grotesque and pathetic as they are scary and disturbing I think, that's part of the story. The original amnesia creatures are really more designed to be purely disturbing, and "perform" better in this regard. RE: Human Form Monsters - TwiK999 - 10-29-2013 Yes, the pigmen were disturbing and weird and I get that that was the aim of them. But, the reason humanoid monsters would be more scary is because we, as humans, can relate to them, and thus would seem more freaky, creepy and scary. RE: Human Form Monsters - Quizerno - 10-31-2013 I have good ideas for a human form monster relating to pigs, but it involves changing the whole plot of AMFP. |
