I have run the original game just fine. before i started this process and 20 minutes ago. Just the FC's i seem to have an issue with. Graphics drivers are up to date. still no luck :/

for my FC im using "darkson/dsconfig/main_init.cfg" same thing for tenebris and white night just their directory paths instead

No I'm talking about a launch file.
main_init.cfg is a config file. It only configures different settings, like what map to start.
To launch an FC you're going to need a .exe or a .bat file.

I made a .sh (linux) file for launch but that doesnt work through steam either, and if i just launch .sh nothing happens...

Something else that might be the issue... (possibly) you should make sure all the files and what-not in your main_init and such are matched exactly
Assume they are case sensitive. (which i think they are)

Launchers don't work for Steam copies of Mac and Linux because they are still dependent on Steam launching them, so starting the executable does nothing.
You need to add a launch option on Steam. Right click Amnesia > Properties > Set Launch Options > "relative/path/to/your/main_init.cfg"

That is the first thing i tried that doesnt work for me.... Ive tried that with other FC's to and even wn isnt working
There is something else buggering up the path that wont allow foriegn main_inits to launch and i can't quiet figure it out what it is. How can i help you guys, help me more? provide screenshots?

Hmm.. now that you mention White Night... I had a similar issue on Mac after the 1.3 update, after using the same method of installation as I did in 1.2, when White Night DID work. Perhaps something in the update broke this for Mac/Linux.
