I still can't play the game. 788777 is the current content id.
I have Intel® HD Graphics under "Display Adapters." I have Intel® Pentium® CPU B960 @ 2.20GHz
I have played both Amnesia games without a problem. I validated the integrity of game cache without a problem. Is it because I downloaded Windows 10?

New patch for SOMA is now live on Steam!
Check in properties->local files so BuildID is 788777, else restart Steam.
The patch addresses the following issues:
Stuttering frame-rate
SOMA refuses to start
Crashes at various places
Stungun not functioning at lambda
Missing levers / cabinet doors.
I am still experiencing problems of crashing, slow start up, and random graphical glitches. In the game I am stuck in the Theta Labs...my content buildID did update to 788777.

I'm able to Amnesia on Windows 10, confirmed.
Also, my build id changed to 790226. Still can't play the game. How can I tell if the update was downloaded? Although, I think you guys at Frictional Games are awesome scrabbling to fix these problems!

Basically, there's a shipping container with some crates and, like, I dunno, a wire spool or something clumped together. If you jump up on top of there, you can fall in between the 3 objects (so the container is behind you, the crates to your right, and the spool or whatever to your left). See the screenshot above for more details.
