Download was great, other than the fact that I hit refresh so many times it told me too many logins from my account for like 3 minutes
Download speed was upwards of 2.2 mb/s and I activated my serial key just fine. Been playing for the past 40 minutes or so. Taking a break right now.
As a side note after exploring these first couple zones I am really excited to take a crack at the development tools and see what I can create!

My speed tanks to 10-20KB/s. Australian restarted a few times no better. My net will crap itself at 6pm so not especially fussed either way.

Yeah my connection to the router cut out at 750mbish on the download and I've since had to start again, it's going even slower then before... and I just have to hope the wireless will not die again.
Wish there was an official torrent available.

Australian here too, Steam speed is horrible - 10-40kb/s if that!
However, from the Frictional Games Shelf I'm downloading at a neat 2mb/s so I'm not complaining

Well, I have a problem :-) When logging in (to the shelf), I get the following error message
"MySQL - Could not select ORDERS_ZONG"
I triple checked the serial and email address : they are definitely the ones in the email "Your eSellerate Order History".
I cannot download the Penumbra bundle anymore either, BTW. (same error)
Edit : I pre-ordered the game back in february
