i mean for other people most have new comps. but hey thanks for the help ill try to do a fresh driver install and hope it works

hey i found something out....
if i disable ssao the game actually loads but shuts off in the menu . the introduction comes on as well , the one about how to play amnesia in intro. but after that same problem buffer overrun detected.

i bought amnesia the dark descent as a disc and installed it and then i clicked launch game and then it says buffer overrun. can somebody please help, i payed good money for this game and i don't want it to be for nothing. please help.

Suspect the problem is the same, that drivers are out of date. If you have tried to upgrade them, then it is likley they do not get properly upgraded. So check the troubleshooting guide for instructions on how to wipe your currently installed drivers for the graphics card and then install the new drivers.
