RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - Zanderat - 09-29-2010 I just tossed a rock on it. Problem solved. RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - pw2302 - 09-29-2010 Thank you all. Having seen video I decided to do the entire cistern section again. I still can't find a fourth section of connecting pipe for the Control Room - But this time, wehen I held the 2nd lever down - the second bridge came down halfway ! (two whole frustrating days wasted - but great to have had help !) Now to face the Morgue when I retiun from holiday Again, thank you all. RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - Kein - 09-29-2010 Quote:My problem is that the second bridge is still at its HIGHEST position (see shot)Well, as you have figured it out already - you need to finish the puzzle first RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - masteredd - 10-02-2010 I just had the same problem: the machine room seemed to work, but the bridge just didnt't get down. My solution: Remove one of the pipes in the last room, then lower this big metal pipe (or whatever it is) again, so that a blue light will flash and a happy music will sound. Then re-insert the pipe and it should work. Or maybe something else was wrong, what now is stucked. Then you also have to remove one of the pipes, otherwise you wont be able to move the weights or the metal-thing. Cheers Master_edd RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - hollowleviathan - 10-06-2010 The weights that you have to suspend correctly are very picky and need to be set *just* right. Also, there's only the three sections of pipe to use - you don't need to recreate the arcane plumbing set-up on the other side of the room, just the results, i.e. connecting the same holes in the wall. I'm sure you must be a Thief Player from way back. Mantling and jumping paid off in that game and the devs always put a little goodie or two to pick up and make it worth your while after the effort. Too bad that door didn't open to a nifty easter egg. I envy your agility. I had a tough time just jumping over the broken walls in the sewer to turn the water off. I fell in the water a whole bunch of times before I actually made it and merely jumped in the water and waded back rather than attempt the jumps again. In reference to the topic, I too had the morgue bridge get 'stuck' in the far up position. But this was after I had it come down a bit and it went up again. |
