That depends on what you want. Here is a good list that describes the power of the cards in basic terms... http://www.nvidia.com/object/graphics_cards_buy_now.html I have the GeForce GTX 460 and it runs every game I have come across on max settings (except Crysis ![]() Realistically speaking you would be fine with any card beyond the GT 220 I suppose for most games on decent settings. I would recommend spending at least 100 dollars, closer to 150 or 200 for a decent card. Also, you can get great used cards on eBay and pay much less for them! So a nVidia GTX 460 (or something like it) would be able to run Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty: World at War and Amnesia (Those are my most demanding games)? I dont really know much about nVidia and whats good and whats not. RE: Amnesia crashes my graphics card - Oscar House - 11-27-2010 I just recently bought GTX 460 (the 1gb version), and I'm running Amnesia, Fallout: New Vegas and America's Army 3 on highest settings. I recommend. Would 1 GB of RAM be enough? Also, someone (I cant remember who) said that when Penumbra was first released it had this problem, but it got fixed in the ATI Hot-Fix or something. Will there be a fix or only 1 possible solution is to spend it on a GTX 460? I am waiting till about my birthday when I get more money to buy a graphics card, and maybe there will be a fix. Probably not considering my luck. but my main question is WILL I need a new fan? |
