You feel more scared without enemies? You're crazy. Just play puzzle games then '-' RE: Not scared of Amnesia anymore, and it's ruined the game for me - davva - 01-26-2011 troll detected, moving on RE: Not scared of Amnesia anymore, and it's ruined the game for me - Sel - 01-26-2011 (01-26-2011, 05:10 PM)Shev Wrote: You'd love penumbra requiem. That is one of the worst comparisons I've ever heard. (01-26-2011, 09:02 PM)kailip Wrote: So, you want to play a survivor horror game without enemies? Horror games don't need enemies, being entirely alone can cause environments to be scary just as much as enemies can. Portal is a game where you have to get to the end of each level solving puzzles. Requiem is a game where you have to get to the end of each level by solving puzzles. The only difference is portal has the portal gun (which is what most of the puzzles are centered around), and a bit more diversity in puzzles considering its a longer game, but over all they're really similar. Hell I'll even argue that the whole key thing in requiem is also in portal, except instead of picking up keys, you have to put the weighted cube on the 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button. Yeah, not so bad of a comparison after allwhen you take 5 seconds to think about it. RE: Not scared of Amnesia anymore, and it's ruined the game for me - Sel - 01-26-2011 and myst is a game where you get to the end of each level by solving puzzles and puzzle dimension is a game where you have to get to the end of each level by solving puzzles and every puzzle game is a game where you have to get to the end of each level by solving puzzles. Seriously are you really that dumb shev? And then you're saying I'm dumb, for some reason. So I'm assuming that you are implying that you're pretty much arguing that I'm wrong about portal and requiem being similar because there are other games that are similar to it. And somehow having other games similar to it ultimately means that portal and requiem aren't similar for some reason. I don't think I'm the dumb one here tbh. I mean, in both games you're put into a room and the whole goal is to get to the end, and then you end up in another room in which you have to get to the end. The few differences is that Spoiler below!
Despite these minor differences, they're ultimately the same. Get to the end of the level over what obstacles where set for you, using what the game gives you. |
