RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - jens - 03-17-2011 GregS728 can you please post the hpl.log from My Documents/Amnesia/Main so that we can see what card it is it works on (there are many different Intel). It would be helpful, thanks! RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - thebat - 03-31-2011 Sorry if I can't post here... But I can't get it to start launching past 85% before it crashes. It kept telling me there was no disc inserted into the drive. So I updated my drivers for my video card and that problem went away. Instead it loads past 54% and now stops at 85%. I don't know why at all. It says Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module <UNKNOWN> at 001B:00000000 Operating System MS Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2 CPU Intel Pentium E2180 @ 2.00GHz 34 °C Conroe 65nm Technology RAM 2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 333MHz (5-5-5-15) Motherboard ELITEGROUP 945GCT-M3 (Socket 775) Graphics X203W @ 1280x768 Intel® 82945G Express Chipset Family RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - jdm03 - 04-01-2011 When I ran the game, the game crashed. There is this blackbox that appeared and says " Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS _VIOLATION in module <UNKNOWN> at 001B.00000000 " What was wrong? RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - White Plague 92 - 04-02-2011 I have done what was said below and i still cant get the game working ![]() excited for when it works ![]() any ideas? ![]() it crashes at start or says FATAL ERROR Windows Vista Home Premium Chip Type: Mobile intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family 1280 by 800, true color (32bit), 60 hertz RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - NeonaItsumiYomi - 04-09-2011 I'm getting the same problem as White Plague 92. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? ![]() RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - jens - 04-09-2011 Integrated graphics from Intel are below requirements to run the game. RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - Zephyr8965 - 04-11-2011 Okay, I'm having a really frustrating issue with the game. I have an NVidia 420M which is a hybrid video card using an NVidia dedicated card and an Intel Integrated. I can't disable the integrated because the cards are linked so it shuts off all my graphics. However, nomatter what I do, Amnesia refuses to use the NVidia card. It shows the video device as the intel integrated (which obviously doesn't work, renderer #0 error like everyone else with intel). I've set my preferred graphics card to nvidia in the nvidia cp as well as adding the launcher and executable for the game to specifically use the dedicated and it still uses the intel. I was able to run the game before with no problem, it seems to be when I updated the driver that this problem happened, but updating the driver fixed issues I was having with other games, so I don't want to roll back to the older one. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I'm hoping I don't have to wait for new video card drivers that may or may not fix the problem. x.x HPL Log: -------- THE HPL ENGINE LOG ------------ Engine build ID (not sure if this is a number I should be removing or not, so I did, just in case) Creating Engine Modules -------------------------------------------------------- Creating graphics module Creating system module Creating resource module Creating input module Creating sound module Creating physics module Creating ai module Creating gui module Creating generate module Creating haptic module Creating scene module -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing Resources Module -------------------------------------------------------- Creating loader handlers Creating resource managers Adding loaders to handlers -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing Graphics Module -------------------------------------------------------- Setting video mode: 640 x 400 - 32 bpp Init Glew...OK Setting up OpenGL Vendor: Intel Renderer: Intel® HD Graphics Version: 2.1.0 - Build 8.15.10.2119 Max texture image units: 16 Max texture coord units: 8 Max user clip planes: 6 Two sided stencil: 1 Vertex Buffer Object: 1 Anisotropic filtering: 1 Max Anisotropic degree: 2 Multisampling: 1 Texture compression: 1 Texture compression S3TC: 1 Auto generate MipMaps: 1 Render to texture: 1 Max draw buffers: 8 Max color render targets: 8 Packed depth-stencil: 1 Texture float: 1 GLSL Version: 1.20 - Intel Build 8.15.10.2119 ShaderModel 2: 1 ShaderModel 3: 1 ShaderModel 4: 0 OGL ATIFragmentShader: 0 ATTENTION: System does not support const arrays in glsl! RE: Troubleshooting Guide - Look here before posting! - Whinis - 04-13-2011 Missing Steam Overlay. I am attempting to participate in the ARG and my steam overlay is not working in Amnesia.
