It's been a busy week so I had little time to ponder over my lack of motor skills...
Anyway... you show me yours, I show you mine
This is the device I am getting along with:

I had to replace the stylish black cable with the fancy metallic one after a line broke...
For the creep factor: the back of the ball is illuminated red while in action (for the optical tracking).
I hope this imageshack link stays valid some time... search for "Microsoft Trackball Optical" if it goes MIA...
Since my device is also thumb operated and Urkle is has no trouble I just accept that I need more training and Amnesia is doing the right thing.
