Delete Amnesia folder under Documents, if you don't have any save games of course.

Wait I got it, it happens when i let windows automaticly solve my compilibality problems.
Here's the log, but nothing changed.

Doesn't work, it creates a new one and i get the same error and hpl.log

Ok, Im having a similar problem (I'm not really sure if i must post it here, but as im new in this forum//game, i'll apologyse if i didnt have to post it here)
I tried installing it on my laptop, and there i've got a problem with the graphic card, which i updated and still had the same problem.
Now, I re-installed it on my computer, where I get an error called:
Amnesia.exe caused an error at EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module Amnesia.exe at 001B:00416DAA
In the beginning, it said that it was cause of the lack of the "DSL.dll" file, but as soon as I soluted that problem, it started having this one.
Please, I'm about to kick my computer out of my window. Is this problem cause of my video card? I think that it doesn't require a lot. But it might be :/

right click on "amnesia.exe" in the redist folder -> solve compatibility problems -> let it run -> try the recommended settings -> click on "start program button" -> and then the new error comes to life (it doesn't pop up but it appears in the background)
the recommender settings are Windows xp SP2

Does the game recognize your graphic card correctly with launcher? Because it's weird that game tries game tries to init lowlevel graphics...

Try reinstalling the game. The file SDL.dll should be there. Maybe a corrupted install or you deleted the file.

So by doing that, the 2nd error reapers. Good. After the error appearance I want you to attach me the HPL.log file again. At the end of solve compatibility problems make sure you save the changes and then without running the game again give me the file.
