What are different/modern there: 1) The lamps 2) The doors 3) The walls 4) The flashlite + batteries 5) The shelf 6) The garbage + trashcans 7) The floor + ceiling Only the boxes and the closets as well as one tool and some bottles are from Amnesia. There are already a few custom stories for Amnesia:TDD like this, and many other video games use it. But, I say it again, it's an understandable choice. I'm sure you can make something original out of it and, if not, at least a good custom story. I noticed all the new assets from the start. That's what I mean by fresh look. All the player, monster sounds are added later. I haven't wrote a line of script yet. I started the video by pressing ctrl and e at the same time to crouch and lean to the right to pretend the player was unconscious. What you see now it nothing compared to what it will be in the end. My main problem is where to get all these models which must be modern. That' why it will take me so much time.
